We are on the lookout for a passionate and collaborative Environmental Project Manager to enhance our Assessment and Remediation team in Calgary, AB. This dynamic role presents a unique chance to engage in impactful projects spanning various sectors, including mining, waste management, oil and gas, industrial, municipal, provincial, and federal domains.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage environmental assessment and remediation projects with expertise and vision.
Act as the primary liaison for clients, cultivating robust relationships and ensuring unparalleled client satisfaction.
Ensure projects adhere to defined scope, budget, and timeline while overseeing overall performance.
Facilitate communication among regulators, clients, and internal technical teams.
Prepare and critically review technical reports, regulatory submissions, and comprehensive project documentation.
Craft strategic proposals and budgets to secure new opportunities.
Guide and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Supervise subcontractors, field personnel, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
Exhibit leadership in personal safety throughout all project phases.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in environmental remediation and/or reclamation projects.
Demonstrated expertise in managing Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments.
At least 6 years of solid experience in project management.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Over 15 years of relevant industry experience.
Professional designation (P. Eng., P. Geo., or P. Ag.) in Alberta.
In-depth understanding of CCME, APEA, AER, CER, and IOGC environmental regulations and guidelines.
Experience with regulatory applications and documentation specific to Alberta.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and client management capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
Openness to adopting and learning new digital tools and technologies.
