Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated project management experience in assessment, remediation, reclamation, and closure within the upstream oil and gas sector specifically in Alberta and Saskatchewan. A valid professional designation from AIA, APEGA, ASBP, or a comparable body, with the ability to endorse assessment, remediation, and/or reclamation scopes of work. Preference will be given to candidates with designations valid in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. Proven experience in developing scopes of work, cost estimates, scheduling, project accounting, and reporting. Extensive field experience is essential, with fieldwork expected to support project initiation, execution, and team development.

As an Environmental Project Manager at FLINT, you will take charge of driving various projects within our Environmental Services Division. In a fast-paced and competitive industry, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring operations are conducted safely and effectively while maintaining a strong client-centric approach. Your leadership will be pivotal in delivering successful project outcomes that align with schedule, contract specifications, timelines, and budgets, thereby contributing to our sustained growth and success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and manage multiple complex projects that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee assessment, remediation, reclamation, and closure activities specifically within the upstream oil and gas sector in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance project performance.
  • Make critical project decisions while preparing essential documentation, including work plans, cost estimates, and subcontractor management.
  • Monitor, control, and forecast all project costs to ensure alignment with planned work while managing project interfaces and subcontractors effectively.
  • Support the preparation of proposals and contractor bidding documents.
  • Analyze environmental and regulatory risks for new business opportunities, maintain vendor relationships, participate in training sessions, implement safety programs, and ensure timely administrative duties such as claims and invoices are fulfilled.
