Qualifications:0-5 years of experience in Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and brownfield investigation/remediation projects. Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and creativity. Strong attention to detail and field sampling experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Valid driver’s license required.40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification with up-to-date annual refresher.

Join our vibrant team at LaBella Associates as an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist! We are seeking a motivated individual with 0-5 years of environmental consulting experience to contribute to our expanding Chattanooga office. As part of our dynamic team specializing in brownfield investigation and remediation, you'll play a crucial role in impactful projects.

This position offers a blend of fieldwork and office tasks, with fieldwork ranging from 30% to 100% depending on the project. On average, anticipate spending 25-75% of your time in the field. While most assignments are in Eastern Tennessee, occasional travel may be required. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to advance along a project management career path.

Your responsibilities will include supporting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental investigations, and remediation projects involving various contaminants such as solvents, petroleum fuels, metals, and PCBs. You'll also have the chance to be involved in our regulated building materials program, which includes asbestos and lead-based paint projects. Be part of a motivated team tackling large-scale and technically challenging projects.

Key tasks include leading and coordinating field investigation and sampling events, collecting environmental samples, maintaining documentation, reviewing and interpreting data, technical report writing, and providing support to project managers across various initiatives. Familiarity with the Tennessee and Georgia state Brownfield Programs is preferred.
