Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 0 to 5 years of progressive civil engineering experience, particularly in soil-based design. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months. Basic proficiency in AutoCAD drafting. Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, with a knack for effective collaboration across diverse teams. A valid driver's license is required. A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to apply engineering knowledge to various projects. Must be receptive to guidance and able to complete tasks independently. Willingness to travel to different work sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct stormwater and wastewater infiltration testing and design.
Evaluate and assess pavement conditions.

Develop comprehensive construction drawings and specifications for steep slopes, retaining walls, culverts, and pavement sections.
Oversee field investigations and soil testing. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to accommodate project site visits, including occasional out-of-town work.
Analyze technical data and provide design parameters based on subsurface investigation results.
Prepare detailed interpretive engineering reports.

Perform field inspections during the construction phase as needed.
