About the Role

In the role of Enterprise Security Engineer, you will take charge of implementing and overseeing the security of OpenAI's internal information systems and processes. Collaborating closely with our IT and Security teams, you will enhance security capabilities, enforce policies, and vigilantly monitor for potential threats.

This position is open to remote work opportunities, with relocation assistance available for candidates moving to Seattle.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and enforce robust security measures to safeguard our company's information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

  • Continuously monitor internal and external systems for security threats and respond proactively to alerts.

  • Contribute to and enforce our IT and Security policies and procedures to maintain compliance and security.

  • Collaborate with the IT department to enhance our infrastructure using industry best practices in AzureAD, GSuite, GitHub, and other SaaS tools.

  • Educate employees on best practices for securing their endpoints, office AV, and network infrastructure.

  • Establish innovative sharing controls and monitoring mechanisms to protect company data, including intelligent group management and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

  • Implement forward-thinking security models, such as “secure by default” and “zero trust,” to create sustainably secure environments for our teams.

  • Identify and address vulnerabilities in our internal systems, adhering to best practices for data security.

  • Leverage AI-driven models to enhance security detection, response, data classification, and other security-related tasks.
