Qualifications
What You’ll Do:Collaborate with the Sales team to effectively communicate Datadog's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers. Lead technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, demonstrating Datadog’s value and addressing any concerns to ensure success. Close complex opportunities using advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and established credibility. Deliver engaging product and technical briefings to potential clients. Maintain thorough notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer inputs, both successes and challenges. Proactively engage with customers and internal teams about product feedback and the competitive landscape. Who You Are:5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, DevOps/SRE, or Platform Engineering, preferably in customer-facing roles. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern application stacks (Containers/Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD). Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, . NET, JavaScript/Node.js, Ruby, PHP). Familiarity with observability and/or security tools (metrics, logs, traces, RUM, SIEM, CSPM, etc.); experience with Datadog or similar platforms is a plus. Passionate about educating customers on observability risks relevant to their businesses and capable of developing and executing evaluation plans that communicate both business value and technical advantages. Comfortable working across diverse cultures; fluent English is required, and proficiency in an additional ASEAN language is advantageous. Able to sit for up to 4 hours and travel to and from client sites. Willing to travel by auto, train, or air up to 45% of the time.
