In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor to potential customers, design partners, and key accounts, effectively connecting cutting-edge AI engineering with practical business use cases.This position is perfect for individuals who excel at the crossroads of technical expertise and customer engagement, relishing the opportunity to create tailored solutions, demonstrations, and integrations that highlight LanceDB’s capabilities in production settings.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeLead technical discussions in pre-sales environments—collaborating with account executives to define, design, and articulate the advantages of LanceDB tailored to specific customer workflows.Conduct technical discovery and architecture design sessions with prospects spanning various sectors, including AI infrastructure, LLM operations, and multimodal data pipelines.Create and present custom demonstrations and proof-of-concepts to showcase how LanceDB addresses complex challenges related to RAG, vector search, and feature engineering.Serve as a liaison between customer challenges and our engineering/product teams—providing insight that informs roadmap priorities based on real-world feedback.Collaborate closely with design partners and early adopters to ensure successful onboarding and expansion of the product.Promote an exceptional developer experience with a keen focus on documentation, SDK usability, and integration workflows.RequirementsYou thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup atmosphere and enjoy collaborating with high-caliber teams.You possess 5+ years of experience in roles such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, ML Engineer, or in AI Infrastructure, specifically dealing with AI/ML products or platforms.A strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, along with their integration into infrastructure for model training, fine-tuning, and inference.
