Required Qualifications:Associate's Degree in CAD/Drafting or equivalent experience.2-5 years of relevant experience preferred; entry-level candidates are welcome. Proficient in CAD/Drafting software, especially MicroStation and OpenRoads/InRoads. Knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with NYSDOT CAD standards and transportation design basics is a plus. Strong organizational, planning, and teamwork skills. Self-motivated with excellent communication abilities.

Join LaBella Associates as an Engineering Technician/Designer in our Rochester, NY office, contributing to our dynamic Transportation practice. This full-time role is ideal for individuals passionate about engineering and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed highway, bridge, and site plans, ensuring all associated specifications are accurately represented.
  • Support the technical team in specialized design tasks.
  • Utilize MicroStation and OpenRoads/InRoads for comprehensive support and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in CAD/Drafting.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred, though entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with CAD/Drafting software; proficiency in MicroStation CONNECT Edition and OpenRoads/InRoads is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of NYSDOT CAD standards and basic transportation design principles is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player with self-motivation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
