Qualifications

Key Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 4 to 6 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly. Preferred technical training such as soldering, trade school, or on-the-job training. Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings. Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and comfortable using computers for data entry and internet research. Effective communication skills in English. Skilled in using standard assembly tools: cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, and torque tools. Hands-on lab experience with soldering, power supplies, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience in product development teams in low-volume manufacturing environments. IPC-610, IPC-620, or JSTD-10 certification is a plus.

Our rapid prototyping and low-volume hardware assembly capabilities enable swift design iterations, driving innovation and excellence in product development. We are in search of a passionate and proactive Engineering Technician who is eager to tackle challenges in a fast-paced environment.

As part of a high-energy team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time within our Engineering Lab. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, your contributions will be measured by the quality of work and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed instructions and processes meticulously for each assignment.
  • Support engineers in optimizing manufacturing processes during new product development.
  • Assist in the creation of solutions and alternative assembly techniques to address challenges.
  • Accurately assemble and test a variety of electronic hardware from prototypes to short-run production.
  • Act as a Quality Delegate, inspecting the work of fellow technicians in the Engineering Lab.
  • Execute assignments safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively and provide clear, accurate information.
  • Maintain a consistent attendance record and punctuality.
  • Conduct final product testing according to established procedures.
  • Keep your workspace and equipment organized and clean.
  • Work with minimal supervision on routine tasks.
