As we embark on an exciting growth phase, we are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our Revenue team. This role presents a unique opportunity to build a team from the ground up and lead the development of a greenfield product for Relay. You will play a vital role in making impactful decisions that directly influence the creation of a product cherished by thousands of users.
Note: We operate in a hybrid work environment, with collaboration in the office three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday).
About the Revenue Team:
The Revenue team at Relay is dedicated to creating the most efficient and reliable payment solutions for small businesses. By 2026, we aim to unify Relay’s accounts receivable product into a comprehensive revenue system that streamlines all payment workflows, providing clear insights into outstanding balances and actions to enhance cash flow. Our focus is on delivering simple, intuitive experiences that replace fragmented tools, making a significant impact on our customers' operations. You'll be part of a team that values quick iterations, thoughtful shipping, and genuine ownership in revolutionizing payment systems for businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
Guarantee the effectiveness of processes and rituals, including sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design reviews.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define and drive the technical vision and strategy in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to ensure engineering outputs align with user needs and business objectives. Facilitate cross-functional teams to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
Support the development and growth of a high-performing engineering team, focusing on hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
Cultivate a collaborative engineering culture that encourages creativity and innovation.
