Role Overview
As a senior leader within our Infrastructure team, you will be instrumental in advancing Whatnot’s platform. You will lead the Platform Engineering team, collaborating with engineering, product, and operational teams to develop scalable, dependable, and high-performance systems that cater to millions of users as we continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide and mentor a talented team of engineers through complex technical challenges, fostering their personal and professional growth.
Create and execute strategic roadmaps for platform engineering that align with company goals, ensuring scalability and enhancing developer velocity.
Prioritize enabling engineers to work efficiently and swiftly, utilizing our platform services effectively.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to shape product decisions, ensuring engineering solutions meet both business and technical requirements.
Promote best practices in software engineering focused on minimizing technical debt, enhancing code quality, and continually evolving engineering practices.
