The Team & Role:
We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to oversee our Load Testing team at Okta.
As our customer identity business expands rapidly, we’re continuously introducing new features while managing increased traffic volumes. As a cloud-based SaaS provider, delivering scalable and high-performance identity solutions is paramount. The Performance Engineering team plays a critical role in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks across our distributed systems, covering everything from code, datastores, messaging systems, infrastructure, to inter-system communications. The Load Testing team collaborates with component owners and platform teams to ensure comprehensive application coverage, simulating load scenarios that validate our scalability and reliability. These load tests are the cornerstone of our performance strategy.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and develop a team of performance load testing engineers, fostering an environment of accountability and high performance.
- Implement agile methodologies to streamline processes and enhance team productivity.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of a backlog of impactful testing scenarios, ensuring extensive coverage across various permutations.
