Cross-Functional Orchestration: Collaborate extensively with data platform teams, finance, and user groups to establish compute efficiency metrics, implement large-scale cost optimization strategies, and ensure compliance with global financial regulations. Technical Stewardship: Oversee system architecture and design to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.

Batch Compute Infrastructure Team

This team operates Stripe’s large-scale batch processing systems, which run on more than 5,000 distributed nodes. Core technologies include Hadoop, Spark, and Celeborn. These systems support asynchronous workflows for financial, analytical, and regulatory processes, handling data at petabyte scale.

The Engineering Manager for Batch Compute Infrastructure leads a group responsible for building and maintaining the tools, infrastructure, and systems that power Spark, Hadoop, and Celeborn at Stripe. This role sets the roadmap for these platforms, focusing on their reliability and scalability.
