Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Expansion: Recruit 5 or more engineers within the next few months, develop interview processes, and create technical assessments. Project Management: Balance immediate project deliveries for high-stakes commercial contracts with long-term platform enhancements. Hands-On Leadership: Engage in coding, design document reviews, and system-level architecture decisions. Technical Guidance: Manage the balance between immediate customer features and overarching platform improvements. Velocity Management: Implement streamlined processes (sprints, demos, delivery tracking) that enhance coordination without hindering progress. Quality Assurance: Oversee execution of customer contracts with strict SLAs; manage on-call duties, emergency fixes, and system stability. Cross-Team Coordination: Align core product engineering with advanced data engineering initiatives. Qualifications for SuccessProven experience as a senior engineer transitioning into management. Hands-on expertise with React, Next.js, TypeScript (our stack). Demonstrated success in building scalable systems for complex workflows, preferably in developer tooling or data platforms. Experience managing teams of 7–20 individuals in high-growth startup environments. Familiarity with customer-facing engineering and meeting tight deadlines. Ability to create appropriate processes—structure without unnecessary bureaucracy. Strong organizational skills: adept at aligning team members with projects, setting technical standards, and managing workflow.

As we scale from a dedicated 6-person engineering team to a robust group of 12-15 engineers, we are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead this growth, maintain high technical quality, and actively contribute to the development of systems that will propel us beyond $70M in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
In this pivotal role, you will code, design systems, and navigate technical trade-offs while ensuring the engineering team maintains its velocity. You will also be responsible for establishing the structure, processes, hiring standards, and culture that will define our next growth phase.
