Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Sales Engineering & Forward-Deployed Engineering (FDE) Project Management Assess the technical requirements and existing tools of startups during the pre-program discovery phase. Deliver customized demonstrations that emphasize Datadog’s unique features, quick wins, and relevance to startups (such as AI, infrastructure scaling, and security). Address competitive engineering inquiries and effectively position Datadog against other solutions. Create a sense of urgency for adoption, enabling startups to realize value quickly within their credits period. Facilitate a seamless technical onboarding experience by eliminating obstacles and showcasing key insights. Manage FDE engineering projects directly on client sites, gaining deep insights into their workflows, challenges, and business processes. Implement Datadog solutions for clients, troubleshoot issues, or connect them with Datadog support resources. Translate technical information into terms understandable for business stakeholders and relay customer needs to product/engineering teams. 2. Ecosystem Growth & Awareness Act as a representative for Datadog for Startups at significant events such as accelerator demo days, hackathons, and conferences. Organize or co-host webinars, dinners, workshops, and roundtable discussions aimed at founders and startup teams. Develop messaging, promotional materials, and thought leadership content tailored for founders and technical teams. Generate inbound interest and applications through community engagement initiatives. Collaborate with the SF DDFS Lead to cultivate and manage relationships with accelerators, venture capitalists, and other relevant stakeholders.

This position is perfect for individuals who excel at the confluence of startup dynamics, business development, technical advocacy, and software engineering. You will seamlessly transition from engaging in discovery calls with CTOs to facilitating networking events for founders, and even assisting startups in swiftly integrating Datadog into their operations.
