About the job

About Lindy

At Lindy, we are dedicated to creating an AI assistant that caters to everyday users, not just tech enthusiasts. Our Lindy Assistant integrates seamlessly with iMessage, managing email, calendars, and meetings, and can be set up in just two minutes. We aim to bridge the gap between powerful AI technologies and the lives of real people.

The Role

This internship is not about observing; you'll actively contribute by writing and deploying real code while receiving mentorship akin to that of a junior engineer from your first day. Expect to be challenged and to learn continuously throughout your experience.

You will engage with a product that users rely on daily for managing their communications and schedules. With a broad scope and a rapidly evolving codebase, you will encounter a wealth of intriguing challenges to tackle.

What You'll Do

  • Write and deploy production-level code — your work will result in live features, not just prototypes.

  • Engage with the full technology stack: TypeScript/React/Node for the frontend and Python for the backend.

  • Collaborate closely with fellow engineers through code reviews, daily standups, and design brainstorming sessions.

  • Troubleshoot actual issues in a live product environment with real users.

  • Be inquisitive, ask questions, and learn quickly.

What We're Looking For

  • You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or you are a self-taught programmer—either path is welcomed.

  • You have a portfolio of projects: personal endeavors, hackathon entries, open-source contributions, or similar work.

  • You have proficiency in at least one programming language and can learn new ones with ease.

  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or Python is a plus, but expertise in all three is not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LLM APIs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or working on AI model applications.

  • Knowledge of agentic workflows or tool-use patterns.

  • You have built or launched something that users find valuable.

What You'll Receive

  • Competitive hourly compensation.
