Overview

The CAE Energy Team at Scout is a dedicated group of skilled engineers focused on evaluating energy consumption to meet component and system specifications, as well as regulatory and customer-driven performance criteria (including range, performance, towing capabilities, and extreme temperature conditions). This position is aimed at a lead engineer specializing in 1D thermal modeling to support our team.

What You’ll Do

Become part of a legendary brand that aims to transform the electric pickup truck and rugged SUV market through the following responsibilities:

  • Manage vehicle-level 1D thermal models and simulations for range extended electric and battery electric vehicles, focusing on subsystems such as low-temperature coolant, refrigerant, engine coolant, and cabin systems.
  • Develop component and system-level 1D thermal models.
  • Identify data requirements for models, collaborate with thermal systems engineers to gather data, and review for completeness and accuracy.
  • Validate proposed control strategies.
  • Implement transient simulations to enhance performance.
