Role Overview: Emergency Veterinarian

Emergency Veterinarians at VEG care for pets and support their owners through challenging moments. This role involves managing diverse emergencies, from routine cases to complex surgeries. Mentorship and professional growth are central to the experience here, with a supportive team and resources available throughout every shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to medical inquiries by phone.
  • Apply VEG’s triage process and customer-focused care to ensure patients receive timely attention.
  • Gather patient information, including signalment, presenting complaints, vital signs, and perform physical exams.
  • Conduct thorough physical exams and perform diagnostics such as ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork, and biopsies.
  • Diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans for various emergency cases.
