This position is critical for ensuring the safe, dependable, and efficient operation of electrical systems at the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). By contributing to maintenance, inspections, and installations while adhering to safety protocols, you will play a vital role in minimizing equipment downtime, preventing electrical hazards, and ensuring continuous plant operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, pumps, Motor Control Center (MCC) panels, and lighting circuits.
- Assist in diagnosing electrical faults with guidance from senior technicians.
- Conduct routine inspections of switchgear, circuit breakers, and control panels.
- Support various testing and inspections, including motor insulation testing and brake system assessments.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Strictly follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety guidelines.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
