Join an innovative engineering and technology firm that is pioneering the future of low-carbon vehicle markets. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to be part of our newly established team in Solihull.

Commutable from: Solihull, Rugby, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Redditch, Birmingham

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 p.a.

The Role

  • As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for taking the electrical system from initial concept through to production on-site.
  • Involvement will include both engine and vehicle/body harness design, requiring foundational knowledge of connectors, grommets, switches, fuse boxes, and electronics.
  • Provide engineering and CAD design support throughout the development process.
  • Contribute to the DFMEA/RQA system by providing valuable feedback and insights.

The Candidate

We are looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, from concept through schematic design, prototype, and into production drawings and build instructions.

  • You should have an automotive background with experience covering at least two complete product life cycles.
  • Familiarity with connectors, grommets, electronics, and ancillary components will be beneficial.
  • Experience with DFMEA is essential.
  • While we prefer degree-qualified engineers, significant professional experience will be equally valued.
