We are currently inviting applications for the role of Electrical Quality Technician to bolster our QAQC Department in Reno, Nevada. In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our installations meet National and City codes, adhere to customer design specifications, and fulfill Corbins' commitment to delivering “First Class Work.” You will engage in some of the most exciting and challenging projects across the Southwest, including commercial, industrial, mission-critical, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain a thorough understanding of the electrical project scope, quality requirements, quality plan, and pertinent quality documents, including applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with operations to effectively schedule and conduct quality inspections and tests to meet production goals.
- Document inspection/test findings and maintain quality files relevant to your area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with applicable contract documents, codes, and standards during inspections and tests.
- Accurately interpret and apply codes and industry standards to assess work compliance.
- Support the project team in completing necessary test documentation.
- Organize and store quality documents according to company and project document management protocols.
- Identify, report, and rectify nonconforming work in alignment with company quality standards and the Project Quality Plan.
- Conduct receiving inspections of permanent materials and plant equipment as needed for project requirements.
- Contribute quality insights during task planning meetings.
- Inspect field conditions to identify issues, inaccuracies, and potential cost-saving measures, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Recognize safety hazards for yourself and your colleagues, taking appropriate measures to eliminate or mitigate risks.
