About Atomic Semi
Atomic Semi is at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, creating a compact and agile semiconductor fabrication facility.
Leveraging current technologies and simplifying processes, we are dedicated to building our own tools to facilitate rapid iterations and enhancements.
Our team comprises exceptional hands-on engineers with diverse expertise in mechanical, electrical, hardware, computer, and process engineering. Together, we aim to redefine the technology landscape from atoms to architecture.
We are driven by the belief that smaller, faster, and self-built solutions are superior.
Our lab is equipped with advanced 3D printers, various microscopes, e-beam writers, and general fabrication tools - and we are always ready to invent what's missing.
Founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller, Atomic Semi combines a passion for innovation with decades of industry experience.
About the Role
We are seeking motivated Electrical Engineering Interns for the upcoming fall term, commencing in September, with an ideal commitment of 4 to 8 months. As we reconstruct the chip fabrication process, you will engage in groundbreaking work.
You will collaborate with fellow engineers to design and improve lithography systems, deposition tools, vacuum chambers, precision motion controls, plasma etching systems, and related technologies. Your responsibilities will include problem identification, prototyping solutions, and productionizing your innovations to transform IC manufacturing.
Our approach emphasizes building and testing within days or weeks rather than months. To apply, please submit a portfolio showcasing your tangible projects. If you have successfully delivered a medium-to-high complexity system through a personal project or prior internship, you will thrive in our environment.
