Sogeclair is hiring an Electrical Engineer for its Brossard, Quebec location. This role collaborates with colleagues across mechanical, electrical, tooling, and methods teams. The focus is on designing and delivering electrical and automation systems for machines and industrial operations, managing projects from concept through client delivery.
What you will do
- Design and develop electrical and automation systems based on team concepts.
- Create electrical schematics and documentation for main control panels, auxiliary panels, and junction boxes.
- Select electrical components and coordinate with suppliers to match project needs.
- Oversee receipt and validation of electrical components.
- Mentor electrical technicians during panel manufacturing and assembly.
- Design and program control systems, including PLCs.
- Program industrial robots as needed and integrate them with other system components.
- Lead commissioning, testing, and startup of systems after assembly.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and adjust systems to reach targets.
- Work with clients during approval processes, both at Sogeclair and on-site.
- Travel to client sites for installation, commissioning, and technical support.
- Prepare technical documentation such as instruction manuals and operational guides.

This position is based in Brossard, Quebec, Canada. Some travel to client sites is required.
