By implementing efficient planning, effective troubleshooting, and strict adherence to safety protocols, the Mechanical Foreman helps to avert breakdowns, reduce downtime, and optimize the overall functionality of the plant.The Mechanical Foreman guarantees that all operations adhere to high standards, thereby promoting both operational effectiveness and workplace safety.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the team in managing daily maintenance operations in the designated area, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.Guide a team comprising a mechanic and a helper in executing daily assignments according to the maintenance plan.Coordinate with engineers to arrange and plan necessary spare parts, tools, and consumables for maintenance tasks.Conduct task risk assessments, develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with engineers, and provide briefings to the team.Diagnose and troubleshoot routine issues that occur on-site while ensuring compliance with safety regulations at all times.Adjust daily task priorities based on operational demands, including breakdowns, emergencies, weather impacts, or changes in personnel.Delegate tasks effectively to technicians and team members as necessary.Promote the safe operation of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear and protocols.Resolve conflicts or miscommunications swiftly and professionally.Report daily work status to the engineer.Oversee the maintenance of STP facilities, including screens, wash compactors, grit extraction systems, blowers, and aerators.Assemble and construct machines or mechanical components in accordance with requirements.Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
