What You'll AccomplishLead the electrical design of embedded systems, focusing on component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout for multi-layer, high-density boards. Engage at all phases of the product development cycle, from exploration and prototyping to detailed design, testing, and transitioning to mass production. Collaborate closely with mechanical, firmware, and senior electrical engineers to ensure seamless system architecture and integration. Maintain design quality and compliance with medical device regulatory requirements through thorough documentation and rigorous testing. Assist manufacturing and sustaining engineering by enhancing designs for cost-effectiveness or improved manufacturability, supporting process or test development, and conducting failure analysis at the component level. Basic QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of professional experience in hardware development or embedded systems design. Demonstrated experience with schematic capture and PCB layout for multi-layer boards. Familiarity with microcontroller-based system design (ARM Cortex-M, MSP430, or comparable) and standard digital interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, etc.). Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, and rework on high-density designs (0201, BGA, etc.). Proficient with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, soldering tools, and hot-air rework stations. Preferred QualificationsProficiency in Altium Designer.
