Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years in an A/E consulting firm is essential. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required. Possession of an EIT or PE license is preferred. Experience in electrical distribution systems, power, lighting, utilities, as well as communications, security, and fire alarm systems is highly desirable.

LaBella Associates is searching for a talented Electrical Engineer specializing in Building Projects to join our dynamic team in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering professionals to create innovative concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and detailed reports. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to produce high-quality electrical engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, along with project architects, to ensure cohesive project development.
  • Serve as the project electrical engineer across various phases, including proposal, design, bidding, and construction.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Assign and oversee project tasks assigned to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Facilitate meetings with both internal and external clients to discuss project progress and requirements.
  • Conduct building condition assessments and prepare comprehensive reports.
