Minimum Requirements:A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on aviation and commercial electrical systems. At least 4 years of professional experience in electrical design, construction, and commissioning. Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered. A recognized degree in electrical engineering is essential, and relevant professional designations are an asset. Experience in the aviation sector is preferred. Preferred Qualifications:7 years of experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of industrial and commercial electrical systems on major capital projects. Aviation experience is advantageous. Capability to define functional and technical requirements for electrical systems.

AECOM is excited to announce a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Airfield Lighting at our Mississauga office. We are looking for talented professionals to join our team in designing and delivering one of the most innovative and environmentally friendly airports worldwide. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our airport's electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide expert advice and guidance throughout the planning, design, and execution phases of electrical systems related to airport projects, ensuring adherence to all relevant codes and standards.

· Ensure compliance with technical specifications during design and construction, including conducting design and submittal reviews.

· Perform Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) compliance assessments for all proposed renovations and new construction.

· Deliver non-resident engineering support through field inspections at various construction stages.

· Assist in the creation of governance and process documentation for electrical systems engineering practices.

· Evaluate alternate technical proposals from contractors, providing feasibility feedback in alignment with project objectives.

· Coordinate technical aspects of electrical systems engineering, setting clear targets and goals for the program.

· Facilitate integration across engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure cohesive program and facility development.

· Review contractor and designer deliverables for compliance with specifications and standards.

· Monitor designer inputs throughout the construction phase, managing requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, and material approvals.

· Prepare management-level progress reports detailing electrical systems design advancements, challenges, and opportunities.

· Mentor and support the career growth of airport engineering staff.
