Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. At least 8 years of experience in electrical and automation roles, ideally within the offshore OSV, subsea, or DSV industries. In-depth knowledge of marine electrical systems, automation technologies, and applicable safety standards. Demonstrated experience in managing maintenance programs and leading technical teams. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to think critically under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with diverse teams. Familiarity with maintenance management systems and digital tools utilized in the industry. Willingness to travel and work aboard vessels as needed.

About the job

  • Supervise all electrical and automation systems aboard vessels, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance programs for electrical and automation equipment, improving operational efficiency and safety.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical and automation challenges, providing expert guidance to technical teams and onboard electricians, particularly during dockings.
  • Formulate and implement preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring systems are upheld to the highest standards to reduce downtime.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections of electrical and automation systems to verify compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments, including operations, engineering, and safety, to promote effective and efficient workflows.
  • Assess and propose enhancements to electrical and automation systems, with a focus on optimization and innovation.
  • Compile detailed reports on performance metrics and improvement initiatives, presenting findings to management regarding electrical and electronic fields.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to electrical and automation systems, implementing pertinent advancements.
  • May be required to assist the Group with Newbuild hybrid crewboat and AHTS rollout initiatives, overseeing electrical configuration and system understanding to provide expert advice during the new building phase.
