Qualifications

Provide technical oversight and operational support for earth stations and related networks, including antennas, RF chains, modems, and networking equipment. Monitor earth station performance and perform routine operational tasks such as station bring-ups, link activations, and configuration adjustments. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve RF, IF, IP, and control systems issues while ensuring comprehensive fault isolation across ground, space, and network segments. Conduct and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance on earth station and network equipment. Manage fieldwork, remote hands, and vendor support for engineering projects, repairs, and operations & maintenance activities. Collaborate cross-functionally with satellite operations, network engineering, IT, RF, software, and program teams as well as suppliers and external partners during normal and anomalous conditions. Develop, maintain, and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), methods of procedure (MOPs), contingency protocols, operational plans, and handbooks. Document incidents, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and lessons learned. Maintain precise configuration management, inventory, and as-built documentation.

The Earth Station Operations Engineer plays a vital role in the daily management, monitoring, and upkeep of satellite earth stations and relevant ground infrastructure, including ground networks. This crucial position promotes dependable, safe, and compliant satellite communications by facilitating continuous operations, troubleshooting RF and network issues, and collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
