Join us as a Teaching Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Classroom Teacher and enriching the educational experience of our young learners. Your responsibilities will include facilitating daily activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and promoting the holistic development of each child. You'll assist with personal care tasks, including feeding and toileting, while ensuring that the unique needs of every child are addressed.
- Provide exceptional physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children.
- Enhance children's physical, socio-emotional, and language development through various engaging activities.
- Guarantee the safety of children at all times.
- Adhere to nursery policies, particularly those related to safeguarding and positive behavior management.
- Encourage exploration and manipulation of different materials and resources.
- Teach essential personal hygiene practices, healthy eating habits, and social skills.
- Follow the established class timetable.
- Prepare educational materials and classroom setups for daily activities.
- Maintain cleanliness according to the agreed cleaning rota.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to cater to the diverse needs and interests of the children, fostering an environment of inquiry and investigation.
- Identify children with emotional, developmental, or health issues and communicate these observations to the Classroom Teacher or nurse, and subsequently to the principal.
- Organize and label classroom displays and student work.
- Conduct daily risk assessments and supervise indoor and outdoor play to ensure child safety.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and training workshops.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan weekly learning activities aligned with the curriculum.
- Engage in teamwork with fellow staff members.
- Attend special events outside of regular school hours as required.
