ABOUT THE ROLE
Arxlight AI is on the lookout for a highly skilled and innovative Mechatronics Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic team. In this pivotal position, you will engage in the design, development, testing, and enhancement of advanced systems and components. We are searching for someone with extensive knowledge spanning mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. You will take full ownership of project execution and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver superior, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Rapidly assess engineering concepts across various domains, including electrical, mechanical, software engineering, and manufacturing.
Develop prototypes, evaluate failures, and successfully transition projects to production.
Design, implement, and test intricate electro-mechanical systems.
Exhibit high-level ownership of systems with significant professional autonomy.
Lead design reviews, conduct analyses, liaise with vendors, and define as well as execute hardware testing plans.
Assist with critical hardware demonstrations for customers as necessary.
Travel to testing sites as required.
Apply fundamental physics principles as the foundation for all decisions.
Embrace a versatile role with diverse responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in immersive technical projects, whether in collegiate teams or professional environments.
Proven ability to develop sophisticated electro-mechanical systems, including robots, UAVs, wearable tech, and high-power electric propulsion systems.
Capable of reading, interpreting, and manipulating block diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional degrees or minors in related fields (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Software Engineering).
Experience with Mechanical CAD software (Solidworks, NX, Fusion 360, etc.).
Familiarity with Electrical CAD tools (Altium, KiCAD, etc.).
