About the Role
As an Account Executive (AE) at Basic Capital, you will take the reins on deals from start to finish, expertly navigating complex multi-stakeholder processes in a full rip-and-replace sales environment. Initially, your focus will be on opportunities generated by our outbound team as well as inbound leads, but we encourage AEs to proactively seek out new prospects as well.
Over time, we anticipate that the ideal employer size for our AEs will expand from 25-100 employees to 100-250 employees. Therefore, candidates should be comfortable managing a quasi-enterprise sales cycle, which involves multi-threading, stakeholder management, and longer sales cycles (60+ days), presenting more complexity than typical SMB or startup SaaS roles.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the complete sales cycle: sourcing, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
- Continuously build a robust pipeline through outbound prospecting and diligent follow-up on inbound leads.
- Drive deals towards closure within the defined Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) range of 25-99 employees, scaling up to 100-250 employees.
- Maintain high standards of pipeline hygiene.
- Collaborate closely with the Growth team to enhance messaging, targeting, and top-of-funnel strategies.
- Play an integral role in developing repeatable sales processes and go-to-market playbooks for future AEs.
Your Profile
- A proven track record as a high-performing sales professional with at least 1 year of closing or quota-carrying experience.
- Highly motivated by sales targets, with a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Strong interest in modern sales tools and automation technologies (e.g., Clay, Smartlead, HeyReach, Outreach, Nooks, Replit).
- A self-starter with a high sense of agency who takes ownership and drives results.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement and maintaining high performance standards.
