As a vital member of our dedicated VANTAGE team, the Third-Party Due Diligence Researcher plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance-driven due diligence. This involves analyzing our clients’ potential counterparties to uncover any issues that may pose reputational or other risks.
Your responsibilities will include performing extensive media research and utilizing our databases, primary documents, and various sources to identify criminal and reputational issues as well as ultimate beneficial ownership. You will also need to navigate complex corporate structures and assess potential political and sanctions exposure.
Your primary focus will be to review, synthesize, and report findings from both OSINT and HUMINT research efficiently within tight deadlines. An exceptional attention to detail is essential for success in this fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will thrive as a collaborative team player while maintaining a positive demeanor under pressure. Strong analytical skills and a clear writing style are imperative as you will be distilling complex information into concise reports.
- Engage in a variety of due diligence projects, including corporate compliance, ABAC, ESG, financial crime, IPO, and KYC initiatives.
- Implement complex search criteria for media and database research while adhering to established methodologies.
- Collaborate with in-country source networks to gather essential compliance information beyond OSINT sources.
- Analyze research outcomes in the context of specific projects and geographic regions.
- Extract conclusions and identify indirect relationships from research findings.
- Evaluate findings based on standardized or customized risk assessment methodologies.
- Compile and summarize all relevant findings in comprehensive reports.
- Present and brief findings to internal teams when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to successfully execute joint projects.
