To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications, which can be obtained through a combination of education and relevant professional experience:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the following areas, acquired through academic coursework, research, or relevant job experience. A solid understanding of DRAM architecture, operations, and integration, along with proficiency in memory testing tools and software. Knowledge of signal integrity and high-speed signal fundamentals, along with simulation techniques. Hands-on experience with laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering equipment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.

The Hardware (HW) team within the Data Center Engineering (DCE) division is in search of a DRAM Firmware (FW)/Integration Engineer focused on Solidigm Solid State Drives (SSD). In this role, you will be responsible for the development, validation, and integration of DRAM drivers into the overarching SSD firmware. Your expertise in embedded systems will be crucial as you collaborate with Agile methodologies, necessitating excellent communication skills and teamwork with colleagues both locally and globally.

As a DRAM Firmware (FW)/Integration Engineer, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Developing, validating, and integrating DRAM drivers for the SSD firmware platform.
  • Understanding DRAM IP on the controller side and validating read, write, gate training, and write leveling.
  • Gaining or utilizing expertise in DRAM PHY IP configuration.
  • Demonstrating knowledge or developing skills in DRAM ECC.
  • Acquiring expertise in DDR4 and DDR5 protocols.
  • Configuring DDR4/DDR5 mode registers and validating settings.
  • Developing and validating DDR4/DDR5 initialization processes.
  • Creating and validating DDR power states and refresh policies.
  • Establishing test procedures and tools for DRAM validation and troubleshooting.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • Documenting requirements and tracking schedules for each product.
  • Leading debugging efforts to address DRAM issues.
