About the Role
As a Utility Worker/Dishwasher at Buckner International, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our Residents through essential kitchen cleaning and storage tasks. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, washing pots and dishes, performing general cleaning duties, and organizing food and non-food supplies.
What You’ll Do
- Setup, breakdown, and maintain the dish room and pot washing area.
- Establish, clean, and breakdown floor safety mats.
- Thoroughly clean all pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware, and utensils, including washing, drying, and storing.
- Sanitize all carts and ensure cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Follow cleaning schedules to maintain production equipment and kitchen hygiene.
- Regularly mop and sweep the kitchen, dry storeroom, and walk-in coolers to ensure a debris-free environment.
- Promptly remove trash and maintain a clean work area.
- Maintain accurate log sheets for dishwashing equipment.
- Assist in the receipt and storage of groceries, frozen foods, and produce, ensuring proper dating and rotation of canned goods.
- Identify and report any situations that may pose a risk of accidents or injuries.
- Engage in training programs to learn how to effectively utilize all equipment in the food service department, including proper cleaning methods.
- Uphold sanitary conditions and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Support the orientation and training of food service staff to meet Parkway Place's hospitality and service standards.
- Exceed Parkway Place's standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
- Adhere to all Buckner policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to build strong working relationships.
- Participate in staff meetings and required training sessions.
- Perform general office tasks as needed.
- Take on special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.
