Desired QualificationsA Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Over 10 years of human resources experience with a proven track record of advising and influencing senior leaders. Progressive HR experience focused on the development and implementation of HR best practices. Strong business acumen coupled with strategic thinking capabilities. Demonstrated experience in organizational development, change management, and employee relations. Recent exposure to Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within the last three years.

About the job

The Director of Talent Business Partners at AvidXchange Inc. leads the HR Business Partner team and works closely with the COO, who supports the majority of the organization. This leader connects human capital strategies with business objectives, guiding HR initiatives that shape leadership development, change management, and employee relations across the company.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Business Partners to design and carry out HR strategies that support assigned business leaders.
  • Participate in business planning to create effective talent structures, engagement approaches, performance management, and recognition systems.
  • Direct annual HR processes such as performance differentiation, compensation planning, goal setting, and employee development.
  • Work with business leaders to improve organizational structure, drive operational efficiency, and strengthen workplace culture.
  • Apply HR data to support decisions, manage change, and align with strategic goals.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence to build and launch HR programs that deliver measurable results.
  • Offer impartial advice to leaders on business challenges, people impacts, leadership effectiveness, and cultural fit.
  • Track industry trends and translate them into practical HR practices that enhance performance.
  • Provide clear feedback to the COO’s direct reports and leaders within the Customer Delivery Group.
  • Co-facilitate and support Diversity and Inclusion efforts within the COO’s organization.
