Position Summary & Responsibilities
As the Director of Software Engineering, you will spearhead the strategic leadership and direction for developing software solutions across the Logos Space architecture. This includes overseeing the on-orbit Flight and Payload software, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Radio (SDR), and the ground segment operations. You will also be responsible for designing the software architecture, policies, tools, and practices to maximize synergy across diverse environments, enhancing Logos’s adaptability and effectiveness.
This role calls for a robust technical foundation, exceptional management capabilities, and a proven track record in driving innovation across various technology domains. You will lead a talented team of software engineers, architects, and managers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions that cater to our evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Craft and implement the software strategy for embedded systems, cloud, and on-premises solutions, aligning with the overarching business objectives of Logos.
Assess and integrate new technologies and trends, making informed decisions regarding their adoption.
Champion innovation and continuous enhancements in software development methodologies.
Collaborate with various engineering segments (payload, satellite bus, ground segment, etc.) to establish product roadmaps, dependencies, and interfaces for successful program execution.
