Role Overview
The Director of Social Media Strategy leads B2C social media efforts for Spotlight Sports Group. This role oversees everything from influencer partnerships to paid campaigns, ensuring social media activities align with broader brand goals. The Director works closely with the AV Audience team to deliver content that attracts new audiences and keeps current customers engaged, using segmentation and persona insights to guide decisions.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a senior leader within the marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and shaping B2C marketing direction.
- Develop and refine a multi-platform social media strategy for emerging racing audiences, focusing on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and additional channels.
- Partner with the Senior Campaigns Manager and Head of Marketing to drive brand strategy in support of the company’s three-year vision.
- Create platform-specific content plans, including short-form videos, live reactions, graphics, and tipping clips.
- Prioritize outreach to underrepresented groups, especially younger fans, female bettors, and international communities.
- Oversee the social media function, ensuring content aligns with the new content strategy and engages audiences creatively.
- Manage influencer partnerships to reach new audiences and build long-term engagement with Spotlight and Racing Post brands.
- Lead and develop the social media team, making sure activities support business objectives and uphold high content standards.
- Implement performance management processes and maintain compliance with responsible gambling requirements.
