Director of Product Compliance
Ebury London Victoria Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week
The Opportunity:
We are excited to introduce a pioneering role for a Director of Product Compliance at Ebury. This unique position integrates compliance expertise into the core of our product development, modification, and launch processes. This senior, highly visible role sits at the intersection of product, technology, and regulatory strategy, presenting an opportunity to influence how one of Europe's foremost fintech companies implements compliance-by-design at scale.
The breadth of this role is intentional. You will serve as Ebury's primary compliance voice across our entire product and technology landscape—from payment accounts and foreign exchange tools to the financial crime infrastructure that supports our operations. Whether our engineering team is developing a new KYC onboarding flow, revamping a transaction monitoring system, enhancing sanctions screening, or adjusting customer risk assessments, you will ensure that all actions comply with regulatory standards before going live. You will report directly to the Group Compliance Director, collaborating closely with our product squads, engineering teams, and the second-line Compliance and Risk functions, while also engaging with regulators and banking partners globally.
Your Mission:
Guarantee that every product, feature, system, and market launched by Ebury is founded on robust regulatory principles—without hindering innovation. You will oversee the global first-line product compliance program, with a particular focus on financial crime controls (KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, sanctions), effectively balancing regulatory diligence with commercial aspirations and an unwavering commitment to customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the embedded first-line compliance expert within Ebury's Product and Engineering teams, providing guidance on regulatory requirements from conception through to launch and beyond.
