As the Director of Institutional Trade Execution, you will oversee the execution of various orders, including equity and fixed income, on behalf of our institutional clients, both domestic and international. You will ensure compliance with FABS policies, exchange regulations, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Financial & Shareholders:
- Operate within departmental budgets set by the Head of Institutional Desk, aiming for a target achievement of 10-15% of departmental goals.
- Deliver exceptional service and timely execution reporting to achieve performance targets.
- Coordinate with sales traders to secure optimal execution for all clients.
B. Customer Engagement:
- Facilitate the execution of buy and sell orders for institutional clients.
- Process orders from sales traders and provide timely execution reports.
- Source liquidity from brokers and clients, establishing a database of block securities.
- Document trading activities and manage order distribution within the execution team.
- Handle manual trades in case of OMS breakdown with necessary approvals.
- Respond to client requests regarding stock transactions through authorized communication channels.
- Prepare documentation requiring customer signatures and validate customer information.
- Escalate any disputes to the Senior Sales Trader promptly.
- Engage with assigned clients regularly to discuss market trends and ideas.
- Arrange meetings with clients alongside the sales team.
C. Internal Processes and Compliance:
- Support the trading department in converting institutional client leads by promoting the desk's capabilities and service offerings.
- Ensure adherence to legal, compliance, and risk management policies.
- Manage orders, execution transactions, and reporting with professionalism.
- Generate daily and weekly call reports for the Head of Desk and keep client profile sheets updated.
