Role Overview

As the Director of Human Resources for Apna Job Marketplace, you will work in close partnership with the CEO (Marketplace) and the executive leadership team to architect and cultivate the organization for its next growth phase.

This role encompasses the realms of leadership hiring, organizational design, performance management, and leadership development, ensuring that the business is equipped with the right talent, structure, and culture to expand.

Your influence will be crucial in shaping the organization’s growth trajectory, enhancing leadership performance, and driving team outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Hiring & Talent Architecture

  • Collaborate with the CEO and business leaders to attract and recruit exceptional leadership talent across product, technology, business, and operations.
  • Design a robust talent architecture to support the marketplace’s strategic growth.
  • Establish strong leadership pipelines and ensure high-quality hires for pivotal roles.
  • Oversee the overall Talent Acquisition function to maintain productivity and enable business objectives.

Organisation Design & Succession Planning

  • Drive organizational design and workforce planning in alignment with business strategy.
  • Define specific roles, spans, and leadership layers to enhance execution and accountability.
  • Develop succession planning frameworks for key leadership roles.

Performance & Accountability Systems

  • Design and implement high-performance management systems including goal setting, performance reviews, and calibration.
  • Ensure clear goal clarity, accountability, and performance differentiation across teams.
  • Partner with leaders to foster a results-oriented culture.

Leadership Development & Coaching

  • Mentor and support leaders in developing high-performing teams and scalable functions.
  • Drive leadership capability programs and manager effectiveness initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on critical people decisions.
