YOUR MISSION:
As the Director of Forward Deployed Engineering, AMER (FDE) at Parloa, you will be at the forefront of our enterprise AI initiatives. Your primary objective is to establish and lead a top-tier FDE organization that guarantees consistent, high-quality, and scalable implementations of our enterprise solutions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in integrating field insights to drive product and platform evolution.
Your responsibilities extend beyond project delivery excellence; you will help define the operational framework that drives enterprise AI adoption at Parloa. This includes setting operating models, enhancing technical standards, fostering leadership within the FDE team, and ensuring that our deployments evolve into productized solutions.
In this pivotal position, you will bridge the gap between product development and the realities of enterprise deployment, ensuring that the actual experiences of our clients enrich our product offerings rather than dilute them.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Regional FDE Strategy & Operating Model: Create scalable delivery frameworks (including pods, vertical focuses, and specialization layers) that balance customization with productization to optimize impact and profitability.
- Build and Develop a High-Performance Organization: Recruit, mentor, and develop Team Leads and senior FDE professionals while enhancing leadership potential within the organization through succession planning, career pathways, and growth opportunities. Establish robust performance metrics and accountability systems while cultivating a culture of ownership.
- Ensure Predictable, High-Quality Enterprise Delivery: Take ownership of delivery health for all strategic projects by implementing scalable capacity planning, forecasting, and utilization management processes.
- Standardize project governance: Implement risk management practices, create escalation protocols, track dependencies, and define quality benchmarks for architecture, security, reliability, and maintainability. Ensure consistent production stability in enterprise environments.
- Drive Technical Excellence & Architectural Standards: Establish architectural guidelines and reference patterns for enterprise deployments. Implement review protocols for high-stakes technical decisions and ensure repeatable integration practices across enterprise systems (APIs, identity management, data pipelines). Maintain strong technical credibility in cloud infrastructure, backend systems, and AI design.
- Leverage Field Learnings into Product Enhancements: Identify common implementation trends and advocate for productization. Collaborate closely with Product and Core Engineering teams to minimize custom implementations and provide strategic input on roadmap prioritization using structured field data.
