Position Summary: BEAM Circular is seeking a Finance and Operations Director to spearhead the financial and operational functions within our organization. As a key member of the BEAM Circular leadership team, the Director will establish and manage BEAM Circular’s accounting and budgeting frameworks, grant management, vendor relations, and provide support for human resources, legal, facilities, and IT operations. The role requires substantial expertise in compliance with public grants and a keen interest in developing relevant systems in a fast-paced startup environment. The Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of BEAM Circular. Essential Functions:AccountingMaintain and continuously enhance fund accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Oversee comprehensive accounting operations, which include:Vendor management (sourcing, onboarding, invoice processing, and payments). Period-end closing (monthly, quarterly, and annually), encompassing the review of reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
