Job Purpose:
As a vital contributor to the economic landscape of the UAE, particularly in Dubai, the role of Director of Coverage in Commercial Banking focuses on supporting SME and Mid-Market companies as they expand both locally and internationally. The successful candidate will create a personal development plan in collaboration with their Line Manager and pursue continuous improvement through best practices. This position demands the ability to effectively assess and respond to customer needs while ensuring alignment with FAB’s lending and risk management policies.
General Accountability:
Sales and Financial:
- Enhance relationships with existing clients while expanding the customer base.
- Drive increases in sales volume and market share in targeted segments.
- Utilize newly approved limits to maximize client engagement.
- Ensure high-quality processing of Credit Applications.
- Maintain prompt response times for customer inquiries and business applications.
- Align financing structures and pricing with client needs for optimal solutions.
- Establish a customer-focused approach to gain a competitive advantage.
- Increase market share within high-end segments.
- Leverage existing clients’ networks to foster new lending relationships.
- Manage and develop the corporate financing portfolio effectively.
- Provide timely and accurate product information to clients, highlighting benefits that impact their operations.
- Actively pursue business opportunities and follow up on leads within designated segments.
- Coordinate visits with the GTx and FX teams to foster client relationships.
- Facilitate cross-selling opportunities by identifying leads for other bank areas.
Risk Management:
- Prepare and analyze Credit Applications, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.
- Recognize and address signs of unsatisfactory account conduct promptly.
- Evaluate financial and business risks associated with lending decisions.
