Role overview

The Director of Application Engineering leads both the Application Engineering (AppE) and Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) teams at Lumafield. These teams work directly with customers, acting as technical experts on Lumafield’s hardware and software, and create custom solutions to address client needs.

This position is responsible for setting standards and scalable processes for the teams. The director also tackles complex technical challenges and oversees team growth. Regular collaboration with Product Management, Customer Success, and other departments is essential to scope, manage, and deliver impactful solutions for manufacturing clients.
