Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise in dimensional engineering to develop and implement dimensional management strategies for complete vehicle design and assembly.
- Create dimensional tolerance stack models using 3DCS, collaborating closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering to validate these models against Archer’s process capabilities.
- Contribute to the development of gaging and indexing strategies, working alongside the manufacturing and integration teams to enhance product dimensional quality.
- Collaborate with design engineers to review and recommend improvements in GD&T implementation, focusing on measurability and manufacturability enhancements.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and establish control plans to meet vehicle dimensional metrics and manage variation effectively.
- Lead dimensional build activities during tooling trials at launch to ensure the creation of stable, repeatable hardware that meets dimensional specifications.
- Conduct virtual builds utilizing 3D scans.
- Support the development of Archer's dimensional management standards.
