Position: Die Design Engineer
Location: Bengaluru
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product and die process engineers to design easily manufacturable stamped parts, including the conceptualization of strip layouts.
- Create detailed designs and drawings of new and revised die components to ensure accurate fabrication, supplying precise geometry to both internal and external tooling suppliers.
- Adhere to established divisional die standards and practices, contributing to the enhancement of die design technology and participating in review meetings.
- Engage with die process engineers, tool shops, external suppliers, and debug toolmakers throughout the build and debugging stages of die projects, addressing design errors and clarifying intentions as necessary.
- Work closely with production personnel to evaluate design concepts before initiating capacity dies or revisions to existing tools, actively participating in review meetings.
- Stay updated on die design technologies, suggesting cost-saving and stamping process improvement measures.
- Assist in software customization and development, applying optimal design practices for efficiency and enhanced quality.
- Support company initiatives by embracing core values and guiding principles.
- Comply with company standards related to ISO, GLSS, and EH&S management systems and follow relevant policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
