RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell. Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices, including OWASP, NIST, and CIS. Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with their security features. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and security automation practices. Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and SIEM solutions. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Relevant security certifications such as AWS Certified Security, Certified DevSecOps Professional, or CISSP are a plus.

Xcellink is on the lookout for a talented and proactive DevSecOps Engineer to join our innovative technology team. In this pivotal role, you will integrate security practices into every stage of the software development and deployment lifecycle, ensuring that our applications and infrastructure maintain the highest standards of security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incorporate security principles into DevOps workflows, automating security checks throughout CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to architect secure cloud and on-premises solutions.
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis to identify security weaknesses and propose actionable solutions.
  • Create and sustain security automation tools and scripts to enforce policies and monitor environments effectively.
  • Oversee the detection, monitoring, and response to security incidents, coordinating incident response efforts as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of emerging security technologies, threats, and best practices, and proactively suggest enhancements.
  • Document security processes, procedures, and compliance measures, ensuring adherence to regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Provide education and training to team members on secure coding practices, DevSecOps methodologies, and threat awareness.
