Role Overview
We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to enhance and secure our infrastructure as we expand our lending platform. You will engage directly with GCP and Kubernetes to create robust deployment pipelines while implementing essential platform-wide features such as observability, security, and infrastructure as code.
This is a pivotal role where you will collaborate with engineering teams to boost their delivery speed, manage critical infrastructure components, and influence the operational standards across the organization. Additionally, you will work alongside non-technical teams to guide the entire company towards improved security and operational excellence. You will face thrilling challenges, from chaos engineering to green/blue deployments, in a dynamic, rapidly growing fintech environment where infrastructure reliability is key to our lending capabilities.

Your Responsibilities
- Build & Optimize Infrastructure: Take ownership of our GCP infrastructure stack, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and cost-effective. Modernize our Kubernetes environments, implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, and define best practices that allow the engineering team to operate more swiftly and confidently.
- Enable Developer Velocity: Collaborate with development teams to enhance their delivery through improved CI/CD pipelines, tools, and processes. Advise engineers on selecting the right tools and methodologies for their projects. Empower teams with self-service infrastructure capabilities while upholding security and reliability standards.
- Strengthen Security & Governance: Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to manage identity and access across our infrastructure and third-party tools. Collaborate with non-technical teams to consolidate our perspective on third-party tools, addressing their needs while implementing security best practices. Safeguard critical infrastructure elements such as DNS, enforce secrets management and audit logging, and set compliance controls essential for regulated financial services. Maintain a balance between rigorous security and enabling teams to perform effectively.
