Flux is building the world's first AI Hardware Engineer, aiming to make advanced hardware design accessible to more people. The company’s mission is to open up electronics creation and manufacturing for engineers everywhere.
Role Overview: Developer Relations Lead
This San Francisco-based role focuses on building and supporting Flux’s technical user community. Reporting directly to the COO, the Developer Relations Lead will drive engagement, education, and technical storytelling to help engineers succeed with Flux’s platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow and support the Flux community: set community standards, moderate discussions, encourage participation, and build relationships with core users and VIP customers.
- Turn common questions into useful resources: improve documentation, develop tutorials, FAQs, reference guides, and practical examples.
- Manage the product education roadmap, including documentation, tutorials, and design examples.
- Lead a major documentation update (including Mintlify) and set up a process to keep materials accurate as products change.
- Create technical stories: write case studies, map customer workflows, and highlight how teams use Flux in practice.
- Build a structured feedback loop from users and the community into Product and Go-To-Market teams to address recurring issues.
- Support hardware advocates and creators by providing clear briefs and quality standards. This is a leadership role without direct reports at the outset.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in Developer Relations, technical community management, solutions engineering, or a similar field focused on technical users.
- Strong technical background, ideally with hands-on experience in PCB workflows.
- Excellent writing and content organization skills, especially for documentation and tutorials.
- Comfort in public-facing roles: leading community initiatives, interacting with customers, and representing Flux externally.
- Ability to build efficient systems from scratch, including tagging, measurement, content workflows, and feedback processes.
- High ownership, proactive approach, and good judgment in situations with ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in technical content creation and community engagement.
- Familiarity with hardware design processes and tools.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting community feedback and improving user experience.
Location
This role is based at Flux’s San Francisco office.
